picture 36 Beetle food
WHo would think that this very large and durable looking board would be easily penetrated by a screw driver!!! THis board is eaten out by some kind of beetle and it is the only board that they ate, of coarse it is one of the weight bearing beams. Oh well what are you going to do.

My $20 cuckoo clock works and evidently I got a great deal. The clock master said that this was one of the last clocks that they painted and carved the bids. Also the carving is much more intricate than what is done now. I still have to put the top piece on but isn't she great? And I only paid $60 to have her cleaned and restored. Yahoo!

Our bus home from New York got canceled due to bad weather, and there was more bad weather in the morning so there was still a small chance that we might not make it home today. But we did!!

Just after I posted the picture of the view out my window during the snow storm we lost power for almost 3 days!! Not a fun experience.
